The aim of DEA (Danish Business Research Academy) is to become the leading independent think tank dedicated to the issue of the relation between companies’ competitiveness - and investments in education, research and innovation.

DEA is a member funded non-profit NGO whose partners are universities, research institutions, private and public companies.

Our aim is to be a credible and impartial body for people, politicians and organisations seeking more knowledge about education, research and innovation.

DEA prepares analyses and writes papers and carry out surveys as well as organising seminars, conferences and networking events.

 

Education, Research, Innovation

Our work is divided in 3 major platforms:

Education: DEA is currently doing analysis on how to increase the number of people finishing at least an upper secondary education - to research the objective of the Danish government: 95 pct completing an upper secondary education in 2015. DEA is also looking at ways to create a better learning environment in companies and how companies can develop the competencies of their employees.

Research: DEA is doing an analysis on the quantitative and qualitative goals of research and education in Denmark. DEA is also coordinator of two large projects:

  • SSH-Inno: a network seeking to promote the innovation aspect of research in the humanities and social science. The aim is to o the network is to influence the European Framework Programmes. Download position paper "Social Sciences and the Humanities"

Innovation: DEA runs two large innovation projects:

  • Service Innovation Network: a network to promote service innovation. The participants are research institutions (both Danish and international) and around 200 companies. www.serviceplatform.dk
